Blog #3- Creative Idea

In class on Monday we gave presentations of our creative concept ideas. Since then I have came up with another good creative idea. It would be a portable device that uses GPS to help you find your way around campus or a city. A map of the area would be displayed on the device. Your current location would be tracked by a star on the map. You would be able to mark locations on the map and be able to get information about distance to that location from your current location and how long it should take to walk there. The device would also let you set alarms for certain locations. Say for example you need to be at the Engineering Building for a meeting at 7 p.m. You would simply set a timer for that location and when 7 p.m. comes around the device would have a little pop-up that says the location you should go to and place that as your current destination. The device would give you directions as you walked along, such as turn right or left on this street. I think the device would be very useful for finding classes on campus. I think it would also be well suited for traveling in a city.
